Belle Moral

Last night I went to see the play Belle Moral, written by Anne-Marie MacDonald, and walked away totally enamoured with her mind. She's so articulate with ideas and words. Not only was the script rich in content, funny, and thought provoking, the story had a wonderful touch of the supernatural. Essentially the play is a discussion on a grab bag of opposites - science and art, rationalism and romanticism, just to name a couple. The actors were excellent, characters so believable, all details so well considered...down to the button.
The ending well...few could pull all the threads together in the way that MacDonald does all the while celebrating the human race.
If you haven't read her novel Fall on Your Knees it's a good place to start.
